Negative The Dead Fish Restaurant Cuisine: Seafood Crockett
The location is great, that's all the credit for this rat infested establishment. My first experience is that the prime rib was like a piece of rubber. My business partner convinced me to join his marketing team for lunch on 10/03/08, and what a disaster: WE HAD LUNCH WITH MICE, very disgusting !!!!!!!! They were all over eating out of empty plates after customer departures. I have taken pictures and I am sure will share that experience with the Health department. I wonder what is it like in the inside of the kitchen. Could we be sharing the same food with these rodents. I was disgusted with the experience and when I brought it to the staff's attention, nothing was done and was informed that these creatures are indigenous to the area. Needless to say Never again. This is a 5 stars restaurants for rodents. Review #21247

Positive Kabuto Sushi Cuisine: Sushi Japanese Outer Richmond
9/08 Sat. Dis samurai helmet/Kabuto is not 4 every1. Top 5 reasons NOT to go: 5. U faint when claustrophobic. 4. Still hungry after emptying d wallet. 3. Can't eat w/o wasabi/soy sauce. 2. There ain't any entree? 1. Hate 2B a sucker! Top 10 reasons to GO: 10. U luv nu wave sushi. 9. Zagat rated 4 hole n wall. 8. U think $3/sushi is cheap. 7. Menu w/ 15 ice sakes @ $6-22/glass. 6. Been bored w/ traditional sushi. 5. U dig exotic stuff in sushi, e.g. baby lobster, foie gras, lamb, Tasmania salmon! 4. Do yor share to pump up local economy. 3. Don't mind to ditch wasabi & use d tiny sauce paste on top of sushi. 2. U eat w/ yor eyes 1st. 1. They call u by yor nickname once u spent $100/person! Now picture dis: Hamachi sushi - rice ball, hamachi slice, pear slice, sauce paste (fruity mustard). Ceviche - rice ball, fried seaweed, halibut slice, salsa paste (lime). They're unusual, innovative, just different. How about taste? It's raw fish, stupid! Service was congenial. Review #21245

Neutral 1300 on Fillmore Cuisine: French Soul Food Western Addition
Okay, I think I finally get it now. I should not go to a trendy restaurant expecting to hear my dining companions or to be able to see my (somewhat expensive) food. I picked this place for a birthday outing thinking it would have a sophisticated, jazzy atmosphere. Wrong. The bar was cozy and the dining room was attractive but dimly lit. The atmosphere was loud and louder. Generally the food was good. Delicious corn bread starts off the meal. The fried tomato salad did seem to have more "fried" than tomato-it was like eating tomato chips. The pork belly was yummy & a good appetizer to share as pork belly is so fatty a little bit goes a long way. And the short ribs were excellent-tender and tasty. Service was attentive altho' there were times I could barely hear my server. The banana creme pie dessert was okay- but not to die for. Be forewarned-this is one of the restaurants that adds a 4% surcharge because of the SF health insurance mandate. Review #21243

Negative North Beach Pizza Cuisine: Pizza North Beach
The worst customer service known to mankind. Always late on delivery, rude staff, they don't care, pizza is soggy, not worth the LATE wait. Skip this place. There are much better pizza joints in SF. Will not be going back to this place and advise all others not become victim of an over priced, always late, soggy pizza. Review #21242

Positive DiAvola Pizzeria & Salumeria Cuisine: Pizza Italian Healdsburg
Another agreement with Samarati! This place use to be the rib joint, now a wood burning oven sits as the focal point in this popular quaint non pretentious pizza palace. We had a tumbler of wine while we waited for our table on a busy Friday night, 15 minutes later we were ordering the Fried Veal Sweetbreads a little pricey but excellent, We then had a pie each, one was with Salumeri and the other the anchovy. Nice thin crust, not overloaded with stuff, you didn't feel stuffed as you sat enjoying the relaxing dinner. One negative was the sound level of out of town visitors providing well needed income for this small town's only pizzeria. This was on a busy beautiful Wine country Friday, now that I know this place, I will be one of the supporters of it during the week. We locals have very few decent places here that we kind of would like to keep secret, but in this case I have motivation for it to survive! Several new art galleries now festoon the old main street, just the start of cute Review #21241

Positive Cattleman's Cuisine: Steakhouse Petaluma
I have been there several times. The cow-boy style is a bit cheesy but I guess it is what one would have to expect from a steakhouse called Cattlemen's. The food is a bit expensive but the quality of the meat is fantastic. No big fan of their desserts but I like the big salad coming with the meat. If you like a good steak, you have to give it a try. Negative De Schmire Cuisine: french bistro Petaluma
I went there once and it is enough for me. The food has nothing to do with french food and was also not really good. Bad experience overall. Skip this place. Review #21239

Positive Thai Ginger Bistro Cuisine: Thai Petaluma
I have been going to this place for several years and I love it (best thai in town). I would recommend it if you go to Petaluma. I usually order a curry or a pad thai. Their pumpkin curry is really good and they also have great desserts. The place is small and nicely decorated but, in the summer most people eat outdoors. The service is friendly. Several of my friends are also regular customers. Petaluma is lucky to have a lot of great restaurants and it is one of them. @other reviewer: I happen to know the owners and can tell you they love their job. That would be great if people could stick to the facts and not report their imagination. Then again, going to a thai place to eat BBQ pork ???? Review #21238

Neutral Paradise Pizza & Pasta Cuisine: Pizza Italian West Portal
Paradise was ok... The seating was right next to an open door on a 45degree day. My back was cold, and I had to deal with some pretty bad drinks. My GF ordered lemonade that you could still taste the powder in, and my hot tea was mediocre at best. I ordered Chicken/Sausage Fusilli and my GF ordered pizza. The Fusilli had a soupy sauce, and everything just seemed wrong. The spices tasted cheap, too much basil, and that soupy sauce destroyed it. The pizza was pretty good, but I wouldn't call it the best crust in town. Go there if you want pizza but not so much for pasta. Review #21237

Positive Sunrise Deli & Cafe Cuisine: Middle Eastern Falafel Outer Sunset
Sunrise deli is one of those rare neighborhood gems. I eat here at least once a week, usually on weekends after a bike ride up to the Marin headlands and back. I've eaten a lot of falafel over the years and these are some of the best ever. I typically have the small Vegetarian Combo and am well satisfied, and that from a man who eats more meat than the average puma. The food is consistently oh-my-gosh-delicious and reasonably priced. A must try!! Review #21236
